Eat Your Colors!

 July 2, 2021

For a beautifully balanced diet, be sure to have as many colors on your plate as you can imagine! Colors have phytonutrients that actually come from the pigments in every fruit, vegetable and herb that exists. They all have their own nutritional value, so make a rainbow on your plate, and teach your kids to do the same.

Play a game with them next time you're out shopping; how many colors of fresh foods do we see in the grocery produce section? This is a great time to teach them the difference between real colors from the garden as opposed to 'fake' colors made out of dyes and chemicals that can actually harm our bodies over time.
